When we first got the cottage in
1967, Harvey and Bea would typically go up and stay for extended time during the
summer season. Most of the communication was by word of mouth or with notes. As
time went on, the Michigan Log Book was started as a way to communicate and
share information. The early beginning started with a note left by Marjorie with
a chart of various plantings she did to create the flower bed in 1973. Then came
a notebook created by Carolyn in 1976 outlining the opening and closing procedures.
From there, people began to log their visits to share their activities,
projects, and such. There are some bulletin board notes that have been scanned
as well. The scans are PDF files with can be read using
Adobe Reader, a free
download. |
