All of the images up to 1997, and the
majority of 1998 are based on scanned photos from our "collection" . You
know....those boxes crammed with photos with no markings or dates. Luckily,
Rickie had started a photo album when we first moved to Ott Drive in 1972, and
we kept it updated until 1998. This was a huge help in being able to indentify
and sort the huge puzzle of photos, which took a couple years. The majority of
these photos were taken with a Pentax Spotmatic 35mm SRL which I bought in
Australia in 1970. The remainder were taken with one of Rickie's numerous
"cheapy" Kodak Instamatics (she had several different ones over the years). I
bought my first digital camera in Nov 1998. It was a Sony Mavica FD-71 with only
1.2 megapixels. But we continued to use Rickie's camera and the Pentax on a
limited basis for a few more years. |
